Using the Image Viewer Tools

After logging into your labelling account, select the project you wish to work on. You'll be directed to an image viewer to cycle through and label the images. The image viewer is a tool within the application designed to facilitate the examination and labeling of medical images. It includes several features such as pan, cross-hairs, windowing, flip (vertical and horizontal), and colour inversion to enhance image analysis.

Pan

Purpose: To move the image within the viewer, allowing you to focus on specific parts without altering the image orientation.

How to Use: Select the pan button (represented by the arrow icon) and click-and-drag the image to the desired position.

Cross-hairs

Purpose: To provide a reference point or to measure distances and alignments within the image.

How to Use: Activate the cross-hairs tool (look for a crosshair icon) and click on the image where you want the cross-hairs to appear. You can move the cross-hairs by dragging them to different locations.

Windowing

Purpose: To adjust the brightness and contrast of the image, enhancing the visibility of specific details.

How to Use: Select the windowing tool (represented by a brightness/contrast icon). Click and drag on the image; dragging vertically will adjust the brightness, while horizontal movements will change the contrast.

Flip Vertical

Purpose: To mirror the image along its vertical axis, which can be helpful for comparing structures or orientations.

How to Use: Click the flip vertical button (indicated by an up-down arrow splitting a triangle icon). The image will instantly flip vertically.

Flip Horizontal

Purpose: To mirror the image along its horizontal axis, useful for certain anatomical comparisons and orientations.

How to Use: Click the flip horizontal button (represented by a left-right arrow icon). The image will immediately flip horizontally.

Invert Colours

Purpose: To invert the colours of the image, which can sometimes make certain details more discernible, especially in radiographic imaging.

How to Use: Select the invert colour button (symbolised by a negative/positive icon). The image's colours will invert, providing a different perspective on the image details.

Reset Button

Purpose: Reverts the image to its original state, undoing all adjustments like pan, zoom, and colour changes.

How to Use: Click the reset button (a refresh icon) to reset all modifications and view the image in its initial state.

After adjusting the image to your preference using the tools mentioned, you can proceed to label the image. This will involve clicking on one of the labels below the image.
